“ stylish restaurant located in heritage building. You are better to order beer on the bar next to petition since you enable to select favorite one from lots of menu. Restaurant can serve the course with sharing hence you can enjoy the various taste of foods. ”
“ Great Australian cuisine restaurant. The location, foods and atmosphere all were great. We came for breakfast and tried Pk bowel, shakshuka and sourdough with butter and jam, all were super delicious. Thank you Marko and lowe for your kindness and hospitality. ”
“ Wonderful restaurant, I was trying to get a reservation for a few days during my stay in Perth. I was lucky to book a table at the last day of my trip. The food did not disappoint. My friend and I shared the roast chicken breast and pork tenderloin. Both dishes were nicely cooked and perfectly flavored. The meats were so tender we enjoyed both dishes very much. We also got desserts to conclude our night. I got the chocolate delice while my friend got the orange and raspberry cigar. Both were delicious as well. Overall, the food was excellent, even went above our expectation. The service was good, considering Petition was such a busy place at dinner time. Glad we tried it before leaving. ”
“ The food on the new winter menu may leave something to be desired for diehard Petition fans, with some dishes lacking the usual finesse and polish Petition is known for. The beef tataki while ok with well cut beef with smoked tomato ponzu and crispy chilli oil lacked the expected Smokey chilli tickling hit. The pork belly with crispy and mashed sweet potato, apple slaw and jus had technical issues as well with the slaw not being overly crisp and lacking the acidity I would have expected to balance the pork, the portion of sweet potato mash was also out of balance to how much of the slaw was on the plate and the crisp sweet potato pieces seemed a bit soggy. The standout dish was the desert which had a wonderful pear sorbet which would have equally stood on its own on a hot summer day but also worked superbly with the meringue and rhubarb - a sure fire hit. The service was also superb with Marco providing wonderfully attentive service to all on the outdoor dining area and with whom I had a great conversation about the challenges of the dishes and the feedback other customers have offered suggesting there was too much chilli previously - a reminder that everyone has individual palettes which have to be appeased, certainly no mean feat. I definitely wouldn’t let this one blip stop me returning, I’ve found the service at Petition to be consistently good and when the new menu is ironed out I’m sure it will deliver like they usually do. ”
“ This restaurant has a romantic ambiance. Best to book as it gets busy during peak hours. The bread and butter was delicious. Beef tatare was alright. Sauce was bit too sour. The lamb mains was so delicious, very tender, melts in your mouth. Complimented with polenta and gravy. 4.5 stars ”
“ Petition is not a bad spot at all, and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. The real standout for me was their roast potatoes – seriously good! It's a solid choice for a meal or a drink. Petition is a place that's often quite busy during lunch, but the service is generally okay, managing the crowd reasonably well. The food is definitely fresh, which is a big plus, though do be aware that the portions tend to be on the smaller side. It's a decent spot if you don't mind a bustling atmosphere and are after fresh ingredients, just don't expect massive plates. ”
